Hi, my name is Amanda Kiely, and I am Wood Cove.
I am a mum of 2 beautiful children and I work full-time as an early childhood educator. I have been in the early childhood industry for over 10 years and I love being a part of a child’s early years journey.
I strongly believe in learning through play and the overwhelming benefits it has on a child’s early years development. This led me to handcrafting a few wooden items for the children in my care.
These were extremely successful in nurturing the children's creative play and I very much enjoyed making them myself. One thing led to another and this is how Wood Cove was born.
I use responsibly sourced natural wood for my natural items including Branch bears, branch blocks, little critters and Rainbow Branchies. For all my other stock I use FSC-certified Pine, Meranti and Tasmanian Oak, non-toxic paint and sealers or they may also be left raw depending on the item. All my items are handcrafted by me on the NSW South Coast. They are specifically designed to be open-ended, gender-neutral and foster all areas of early childhood development.
I have also learnt over the last few years that my creations are a perfect addition to home decor, specifically dopamine decor. They bring little pops of colour and joy to a home.

The very best part of Wood Cove is getting to see the items I handcraft played with and loved by children.
